Was there ever a recording of this? This was my mother's favorite version. We have the SONY Music version on CD but would LOVE to get a old of this recording for her.

Thanks so much for your interest!  We have video that was produced for BBC and public television from the concert in Vienna, and I believe there are reel-to-reel tape archives of the concert performance in New Haven, but they have not been digitized or made public yet.  It’s something that - we agree - would be a wonderful contribution to the legacy of this really incredible work.
